Our studio has a heated and non-heated practice room. Heat in the practice room is generated efficiently through radiant panels. Radiant heat has similar sun like quality providing silent and comfortable warmth, without the dust and germs from blowing air of forced air furnaces. Less energy is required to heat objects and people in the room as the panel can reach operating temperature in only three to five minutes.
The floors for both practice rooms are made out of cork, a highly sustainable and environmental friendly material. Cork is a natural product peeled off from the bark of the cork oak trees. This method of harvesting allows the bark to grow back without killing or damaging the tree. A natural substance in cork repels insects, mites and molds making it suitable for allergy sufferers.
We painted our studio using completely VOC free paints to provide for natural and healthier environment. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) is solvent used in standard paint formulations that can help trigger asthma attacks, create throat and eye irritation, nausea and headaches among other health problems. Since breathing is key to yoga practice, we made sure that our practice rooms are free of ozone producing elements.
Shower and Wash Rooms
The men and women’s shower rooms has complimentary non-fragrant body wash. To support your practice we have installed filtered drinking water system and filtered shower heads in both change rooms.
We use only environmental friendly products to clean and maintain our entire studio. The products are natural based, biodegradable and hypoallergenic (contains no fragrance nor preservatives).
